Here's a series of shots of a little House Wren trying to get a long stick inside the small hole of the nestbox. At one point the Wren drops the stick to the ground and looks down at it forlornly. Then it just keeps going on about its business of continuing to build the nest. Now that's determination- and nature's immediate necessity!
